Generally, I like applying computers to solving problems and with my background in hardware and software I like to try different technologies and see where they lead.

I build model ships, usually older sailing ships, I like to garden and landscape. I worked on cars when I was younger, but I haven't done that for several years now.

I have a reasonable library on American Civil War history and steam locomotives. I would like to do a model railroad some day, but currently I do not have the space, model ships do not require a lot of space, just a single workbench.
